Update from our Pastor April 5, 2020

Dear Friends at Tusca,

We are grateful for so much this Palm Sunday morning, when traditionally believers remember that final approach Jesus took into Jerusalem, riding on a humble labor animal (it may actually have taken place on their Monday morning….we don’t know for sure).  The heart of our hope is Jesus himself, for if he could effectively defy death as he was going to do that next weekend, then he was confirmed as God’s victorious Son (Rom.1:4).  This is not a bad focus for all, given that our attention tends to be on the prevailing world situation.

I hope you will take the opportunity to pray for the people and circumstances that were circulated last evening — there is quite an impressive list of concerns and joy.

Rather than a short printed message, we have video recorded the first of my new spring sermon series, “Conversations with Jesus” – part one awaits you on the church website ( tuscachurch.org ) under the Sermons drop-down tab.  We hope to record part two later this week, for posting by next weekend.  On your own or with your household, do pray for our world.

If there are particular ways we can help your household, please do let us know — you have elders, deacons and many friends, who would love to be of service.

Stay safe, be well, and blessings in Christ be with you! – Jonathan
