Update from our Pastor 4/26/2020

Dear Tusca friends –

I hope you continue to stay well, whether that means you are staying at home (another new idiom: “shelter-in-place”) or taking extra care at your place of work.  One can see how much the internet is helping us, as I have had Zoom and Skype and Teams meeting (among other services) almost constantly across these weeks, and seem to be averaging 150-200 emails in and out each day.  Many of you are working through the same; and do remember those of us who are required to be at their place of work regularly, as well as those who are out of work at this time.

Our fourth message in the “Conversations with Jesus” series has now been posted on our church website — and I have an apology to make!  Just prior to recording this week, Craig and I were chatting about a variety of local matters and one of them must have stuck in my mind, as I turned around to record moments later, opening the message with “Good morning College Hill” — hey, at least I didn’t say “Good morning Vietnaaaam.” Neither of us caught that faux pas until reviewing it later, but the remainder was smooth so we kept it – but please forgive (and just ignore) my glitch!

If there is any way that any of us can be of service to you , do let us know with a phone call or email.  Given the PA governor’s ruling recently, we can see that we will be on hold with respect to worship at least one more week (i.e. we will not hold services on May 3).  My intention is to consult with the elders and deacons during that week to see where we believe we ought to direct ourselves next.

I think that covers what I need to mention at this time.  I miss you all very much, and trust you are well, and blessed. Take good care.

Warmly,

Jonathan
