Update from our Pastor 5/17/2020

Dear Friends at Tusca,

As always, I hope this finds you well!  My thanks to so many of you for communications to me as a find myself today just one year shy of those classic Beatles’ song lyrics.

With this weekend’s news that Beaver County will soon be moving into the yellow zone comes a complexity of questions that the church officers shall be discussing in the days ahead (as we have been doing very recently as well) — namely, how we might resume our worship together in ways that are consistent with the situation at hand.   More will be forthcoming on that very soon.

Both our annual synod meeting, as well as the summer international conference, have been cancelled, for obvious reasons.  However, Presbytery of the Alleghenies is planning to meet late in June, using one of the larger church buildings in the greater Pittsburgh area so as to allow for social distancing.

This week’s sermon is now available via our website, and it can be accessed via this direct link:

And remember, each year starting around May, I open up for summer sermon requests – a topic, an issue, a text, or any other kind of interest that you would like to hear more about — send me an email or phone text and I will assemble these.  Our current series has a flexible length, but I am thinking of running it through some time in June, with the remaining weeks of the summer available for sermon requests.  So please do communicate these to me!

I am really looking forward to seeing you in person as soon as we are able.

In Christ’s love and service,

Jonathan
